Read all the info? Want to apply? Well, you’re definitely in the right place! Fill out the application below and email it to revenancemods[at]gmail[dot]com, with the subject line [APPLICATION: CHARACTER NAME]. Paste the application into the body of the email; we will not accept applications as attachments, as comments to this post, or as any other format.

You must have read the rules and FAQ in their entirety before applying. To that end, we’ve included a question at the end of the application; if you’ve read the rules and FAQ, you’ll know the answer.

It may take up to a week for us to get back to you on an application, possibly longer if we’re inundated. We process applications in the order in which they were received. If you don’t hear back from us in about a week, feel free to poke one of the mods; however, before then, please be patient.

The total number of characters you can play is four; you may play only two from the same canon, and only one keybearer.

We do allow application challenges. If a character you want to app is reserved by someone else, you may still send in an application; we will wait for the mun reserving the character to send in their application before we judge, and we will accept the application that we believes best reflects a solid understanding of the character in question.

Appearance: (Assume we know nothing about your character and tell us what they look like. How tall are they? What’s their build? Do they have any distinctive features/tattoos/markings? What do they wear? Please do not link a picture of your character. If you are apping a very large character and need to size them down, this would be the place to tell us.)

Personality: (What makes your character tick? What is their general outlook on life, their quirks? How do they act most of the time? What are their mental and emotional strengths, their nervous habits, their psychoses? What are their mental/emotional/spiritual weaknesses? What are their personality flaws? What are their fears? We are looking for a detailed look into the head of your character. Provide at least 150 words in this section; we would encourage more.)

Abilities: (If your character has any superhuman powers/strengths/abilities, this is the place to describe them. Give us an idea of what your character is capable of. If they’re incredibly overpowered as described in the FAQ, please describe how their powers will be limited. Even if your character has no superhuman abilities, this is still a good place to describe what they can do. Are they great at martial arts? Do they have military training? Are they a skilled computer hacker? Let us know here.)

Items: (If your character brought any items with them from their world, please list them. Please keep in mind that characters will have only what was on their person when they fell asleep.)

History: (This should be your character’s history - it does not need to be an entire canon history (unless your character is the protagonist, in which case, good luck). Cover their background and recent events, including the canon point you’re pulling them from. If they have very little history, or if you’re augmenting a sparse history with personal headcanon, please let us know. There is no formal length for this section; however, we would recommend at least three paragraphs.)

First-Person Communicator Sample: (An example of a post your character would make over the communicator. A good length is between five and ten sentences, though feel free to write more if you like.)

Third-Person RP Sample: (What you would write for your character in a log or a narrative. It can be any situation you want; just show us your style of roleplaying. We are looking for your ability to convey your character's personality through your writing--actions, thoughts, dialogue, etc are all good tools with which to do this. We expect 250 words minimum in this section.)
