Worlds

Traverse Town

Traverse Town is just what it says on the tin: a traveler’s town, meant as an in-between stop for people displaced from their own worlds and just need a place to crash for a while. The world is bigger than it looks at first glance, with five districts full of buildings, ledges, and other odd architectural features to explore. The design itself falls somewhere between quasi-European small town and Vegas (cobblestone roads and petite cafes meet excessive neon lighting, and there really is no other way to explain the inner workings of the Post Office).

The portal to other worlds in Traverse Town is located in the fountain in the Second District.

Further details can be found here at the Kingdom Hearts Wiki: Page 1 and Page 2. (Careful: 3D spoilers abound.) Maps and images can be found here at the game’s photobucket.

Traverse Town is currently the world in which all new characters arrive. This may change at some point in the future.

Twilight Town

Twilight Town is another world that sounds exactly like what it says on the tin. The world consists of a good-sized town in a state of permanent twilight; the sun hangs on the horizon, casting the sky in a permanent shade of red-orange. The town sprawls easily on a hillside. There’s a tram that runs through it for easy transportation, taking you around the Tram Commons. There’s also a sandlot for struggle matches and odd sewers and woods that end in an even odder abandoned mansion, supposedly haunted - or at least the people who have been here before assure you there ought to be. For now, the break in the wall that usually leads to those woods is nowhere to be found.

The portals to other worlds in Twilight Town are located at the entrance to Station Plaza and at the top of Sunset Hill.

Mother of Invention

The Mother of Invention is a Charon-class light UNSC Frigate and the mobile headquarters of Project Freelancer. It’s a larger spaceship with stark, unadorned interiors. There’s a mass of hallways that lead to barracks, locker rooms, weapons lockers, medical facilities, a mess hall, a hangar (though none of the smaller ships will start and the outer hangar doors will not open), the bridge, and what you can only surmise is a large training and simulation room. In nearly every room, a leaderboard is displayed with the same set of names in the same order. The ship’s computer systems are running at minimal functions, namely life support; no login is available and no additional information can be found. Whatever AI should be running the ship is either unresponsive or simply gone; it is impossible to determine which.

The portal to other worlds on the Mother of Invention is located on the Bridge.

Further information is available at the Red vs Blue Wiki; maps and photos are available here at the game’s Photobucket.

Ponyville

Ponyville is a quiet little town located in the land of Equestria. Most of the town is made up of pleasant cottages and charming shops; on the west side of town, a large hollowed out tree serves as the town’s library. Farmland surrounds the town; most prominently a large apple orchard to the south. Southeast of town, there’s a large, eerie forest. If one looks into the distance, one can see foothills leading up to the mountains.

Those of you familiar with the world may notice that it is virtually impossible to leave the bounds of the town. Traveling further into the Everfree Forest past Zecora’s cabin leads you back to the town itself. So does attempting to venture further than the Apple Family Farm, or the bridge on the main road into town. There is a train in the train station, but it is out of order.

The portal to other worlds in Ponyville is located on the main bridge into town, next to Town Square.

Further information is available at the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic wiki; maps and photos are available here at the game’s Photobucket.
