Congratulations on finding the Elements of Harmony! What you’ll need them for may not be readily apparent right now, but hey, one step at a time, right?

The Moogles have made a generous offer to buy the entire Zapapple harvest - as it turns out, they have the recipe for Zapapple jam and the process of making it down to a science. In addition to the haul from defeating the Nightmares present at the harvest, each character who participated receives a handsome amount of munny and a Fancy. The Moogles have also offered enough rare dream pieces to create six rare Spirits, one of each (Meowjesty, Kab Kannon, Frootz Cat, Ursa Circus, Sudo Neku, R&R Seal). The harvest participants will have to decide amongst themselves who gets to keep the rare Spirits, as there are obviously not enough to go around.

Several days later, participants also receive one jar of rainbow-striped Zapapple jam apiece. The Moogles also start selling the jam. The jam has the same healing effect as a potion, is a favorite among Spirits, and is incredibly tasty, like eating your favorite comfort food. It’s also prohibitively expensive - supply and demand.

The dreams continue as usual; the day/night cycle, however, is still changing. Nights have gotten longer and days shorter, like they would in the middle of winter, with no temperature changes or other explanation as to why.

There’s not too much to announce OOCly this time around. Feel free to use the comments of this post to hash out who gets the rare Spirits.

I'll be the new kid, I guess, and ask: Have there been instances of limited numbers of rare dream pieces being handed out before, and how did everybody decide who got them for the creation of rare Spirits?

Just looking over the log, it seems like, ICly, it would make sense for someone like Lin to receive more pieces as she acted as kind of a leader/director for those harvesting apples.

The last time rare spirits were available was during a party post where the Moogles were running a ring game. Toss a ring, or a ball, and get dream pieces.

Both North and Roxas have a rare spirit so they aren't desperate for new ones. (North has Tank the Kab Kanon and Roxas has Flipper the R&R Seal).

Megan's already mentioned how the previous set of rares were awarded, so I won't rehash that.

Lin would personally prioritise any of the newer arrivals getting fancies and/or one of the rares over herself, though she wouldn't say no at the end. Her owl and pricklemane are nice, but a bit of extra power wouldn't go amiss. OOCly, I'd like to see our newer arrivals or folks who don't have a rare get a shot at them first -- Carolina has Lela, and she's special enough for almost everyone. ;)

ICly, Kanji'd likely need to be pushed into accepting one: he was just doing what had to be done, right? And as he got/will get an Element from that showdown, he's already got a reward.

However, he's never had the chance at one before: so if there are any pieces free, the Meowjesty (matches his Persona!) or Frootz Cat (...Pink. Fruit. Kitty.) would probably be his picks.

EDIT: And this would be Terri/Jeeves-mun on another account. /coughs

ICly, Jeeves would lobby for obtaining one of the rares for himself (power and protection), particularly if Lin was pushing for newer people to get them. I'd love for him to get the Sudo Neku for 'why would you do that?' fashion judgements. He might try to get it to wear something else until he finds out its 'clothes' are more or less attached.

OOCly, it makes sense to me to give folks who don't have them a chance. But that's probably a lot of characters. Maybe have everyone chime in with the characters who would want them and have a mod RNG who gets them?

Aqua would be generally inclined to let herself be passed over if there are more people who want rare spirits than there actually are spirits, but she hasn't gotten one yet, either.


As for RNGing it, that could definitely work, once we figure out who all would want one.

Neither Wash nor Rarity will ask for a rare one right off the bat - Wash figures there are better people to get one, and Rarity doesn't think she needs one, as Spike is certainly doing a good job of protecting her.

That said, Wash will talk to whoever gets the Frootz Cat and try to trade them the pieces he still has left over from the Moogle Party (Ursa Circus or Kab Kannon) in exchange for the cat. (Somebody has wanted a pink fruity cat for a while, okay.)

FWIW Naoto is another character who wouldn't ask for one but also wouldn't say no :> She'd ICly be happy with rolling the dice, too.

Edge is under the "not initially, wouldn't say no" banner, and if there's not enough immediate claimants, would cheerfully suggest rolling dice in-character for whoever gets them.

Sorry about the lack of reply, as I said on Plurk a bit ago, I've been pretty sick and not really up to computer time.

Epsilon doesn't want or need another one of the special one like that. He won 2 in the game before, and I don't want to be greedy.

(Besides, if I read it right, he'll be getting munny and a fancy no matter what? That's plenty.)
